Alexis Bernier

Quebec, 20 years old


Alexis Bernier has been playing the flute since he was seven years old. He has been studying at the Conservatoire de musique de Montréal since 2016, initially under Marie-Andrée Benny, and since 2022, under Jacinthe Forand and Denis Bluteau. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Music and is a member of the Conservatoire’s Symphony Orchestra.

 

In recent years, Alexis Bernier has had the opportunity to hone his skills with renowned masters at Domaine Forget and the Orford Music Academy, including Emmanuel Pahud, Julien Beaudiment, Robert Langevin, Ransom Wilson, and Michael Cox. In the summer of 2024, he was part of the National Youth Orchestra of Canada (NYO Canada).

 

Over the years, he has won first place in several competitions, such as the Orchestre Métropolitain’s OMNI Competition, the Festival-concours de musique de Sherbrooke, the Concours de musique de la Capitale, and Classival. He has also performed as a soloist with the Orchestra La Sinfonia of Lanaudière.
