Louise Pellerin, an artist of profound sensitivity, captivates audiences with her expressive and colourful sound. A Canadian-born oboist, she lives in Switzerland, where she pursues an international career.
She has toured across Canada, the United States, South America, Europe, and Asia, performing with renowned musicians like Heinz Holliger, Leonidas Kavakos, and András Schiff at prestigious festivals worldwide (Athens, Lucerne, Zurich, Salzburg, Vienna, Berlin, London, Paris, Rome, Tokyo, New York, Montreal, Toronto). Pellerin is the principal oboist for the Camerata Salzburg and the Cappella Andrea Barca. She has also collaborated with Jean-François Rivest, Dom André Laberge, and Olivier Godin.
Louise Pellerin graduated with top honours from the Conservatoire de musique de Montréal (Réal Gagnier, Bernard Jean) and the Freiburg University of Music (Heinz Holliger). She teaches oboe and chamber music at the Zürich University of the Arts, gives masterclasses in Canada, Europe, and Asia, and serves as a jury member for international competitions. Her recordings are available on ATMA, Decca, Denon, DGG, Novalis, Philips, Radio-Canada, WDR, and Arte.
